How to Apply

Training Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent- must provide Official Transcript/Official GED Scores 
  • Two Letters of Recommendation- from a former teacher, employer, or community leader
  • 1-2 years of proven experience in allied health or business services
  • Recent High School graduates: in lieu of experience, high school transcript evaluation
  • Short-term commitment (9 months)
  • Completion and Satisfactory scores on HESI Admission Assessment Exam (A2)

The HESI Admission Assessment Exam consists of three academic exams, as well as a personality profile that identifies the individual applicant's learning style.  Individual scores are combined to provide subscores in these areas:

Vocabulary: must score at 70% or higher

Math: must score at 70% or higher

Reading Comprehension: must score at 70% or higher

The HESI Healthcare Admission Assessment determines your ability to succeed in the field of healthcare and prepares you for a rigorous curriculum for healthcare or business programs leading to nationally recognized certifications offered by AHIMA, NHA, AIPB, and Certiport.  You can find more information about the exams here: HESI Healthcare Admission Assessment.

  • Certified Billing and Coding Specialist
  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
  • Certified Patient Care Technician
  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician
  • Certified EKG Technician
  • Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist
  • Certified Bookkeeper
  • Microsoft Office Specialist

HTIM Application

Prospective students will need to gather their Official High School transcripts/Official GED scores and the two Professional Reference Letters after completing application for admissions . Transcripts and letters can be emailed or mailed to the Student Services department. We look forward to hearing from you!

Health-Tech Institute of Memphis Transferability of Credits                                                                                                                                                                           

As a prospective student interested in enrolling at Health-Tech Institute of Memphis, you should obtain confirmation that Health-Tech Institute of Memphis will not accept any credits you have earned at another institution before you execute an enrollment contract or agreement. All students must read and sign the Health-Tech Institute of Memphis Enrollment Agreement before starting classes.
