Tuition

The total cost of tuition for all programs is $11,042.00. The breakdown of the books, supplies, and testing fees is further detailed in the Student Handbook.

Financial Aid

Financial aid is available for those who qualify through the Workforce Investment Network (Local WIOA Service Provider), and Post 911 GI Bill Veterans (Approved for Training).  

 

Job Placement Assistance

Job placement assistance is provided for all successful trainees who complete the program.

Many companies seeking applicants in the fields have contacted us for qualified employees, so we know we are on the right track.

How to Apply

Training Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent- must provide Official Transcript/Official GED Scores 
  • Basic Computer Literate- at least 20 wpm
  • 1-2 years of proven experience in allied health or business services
  • Recent High School graduates: in lieu of experience, high school transcript evaluation
  • Short-term commitment (9 months)
  • Completion and Satisfactory scores on HESI Admission Assessment Exam (A2)
  • Two Professional References- from a former teacher, employer, or community leader
  • Completion of three in-person interviews- Initial, Programmatic, and Executive

The HESI Admission Assessment Exam consists of three academic exams, as well as a personality profile that identifies the individual applicant's learning style.  Individual scores are combined to provide subscores in these areas:

Vocabulary: must score at 70% or higher

Math: must score at 70% or higher

Reading Comprehension: must score at 70% or higher

The HESI Healthcare Admission Assessment determines your ability to succeed in the field of healthcare and prepares you for a rigorous curriculum for healthcare or business programs leading to nationally recognized certifications offered by AHIMA, NHA, AIPB, and Certiport.  You can find more information about the exams here: HESI Healthcare Admission Assessment.

Prospective students will need to have Official High School transcripts/Official GED scores and the two Professional References Letters submitted before the first interview is scheduled with Student Services. Transcripts and letters can be emailed or mailed to the Student Services department. We look forward to hearing from you!

Transferability of Credits

As a prospective student interested in enrolling at Health-Tech Institute of Memphis, you should obtain confirmation that Health-Tech Institute of Memphis will not accept any credits you have earned at another institution before you execute an enrollment contract or agreement. All students must read and sign the Health-Tech Institute of Memphis Enrollment Agreement before starting classes.
